Projects:

Solving the steady and unsteady 2D heat conduction problem, Skill Lync.

The equations are solved using a Steady-state analysis and a Transient-state analysis.

2D heat conduction is solved using point iterative techniques i.e. Jacobi, Gauss-Seidel, Successive over-relaxation in MATLAB.

Simulation of a 1D Super-sonic nozzle flow simulation using the McCormack Method, Skill Lync.

Implemented both conservative and non- conservative forms of the governing equations for a supersonic nozzle using MATLAB.

Performed grid dependency test and compared results.

Simulation of Flow through a Backward Facing Step using Open Foam, Skill Lync.

Used the icoFOAM solver to simulate the flow through a backward facing step.

Created multiple meshes and compared the results obtained from each mesh.

The velocity Magnitude Contours near the step region are compared for different grading factors.

Simulating the Ahmed Body, Skill Lync.

Study the effects of flow over the Ahmed Body and performing grid independence test.

Rayleigh-Taylor Instability, Skill Lync.

Performed the simulation for 3 different mesh sizes with the base mesh of 0.5mm. Compared the results by showing animations.

Theoretically explained how the variation in Atwood number Affects the behavior of instability.

Conjugate Heat Transfer Analysis on a Graphic Card using Ansys Fluent, Skill Lync.

Performed a steady-state conjugate heat transfer analysis on a model of graphics card.

Simulations are done by varying the velocities.

The maximum Temperature and Heat Transfer coefficient of the processor are identified.

Study on the Gearbox Sloshing effect using Ansys Fluent, Skill Lync.

Simulation is performed using two different fluids in the gearbox and results are compared. (Engine oil and n-heptane(c7h16))

Materials with four different quantities are used in the simulation.

Knowing the concepts of Dynamic meshing and UDF in the Pre-Processing Unit.

Gate Valve Parametric Study using Ansys Fluent, Skill Lync.

A parametric study on gate valve simulation is performed by setting the opening from 10% to 80%.

The flow coefficient and the flow factor for each opening is calculated.

Combustion Analysis on a 2- Dimensional model using Ansys Fluent, Skill Lync.

Performed a combustion simulation on the combustor model and variation of mass fraction of the different species (CO2, H2O, CH4, N2, O2 and NOx emissions) is recorded using line probes at various locations of combustor.

Water content is added to the fuel from 5%-30% by mole and the effect is observed.

Chanel Flow simulation using Converge-CFD, Skill Lync.

Simulations are performed with 3 different mesh sizes results are compared.

Velocity, pressure and mass flow rate are plotted and the results are explained.

Steady State simulation and Transient simulation of Flow Over A Throttle Body using Converge, Skill Lync.

Steady state simulation and Transient simulation is performed for flow over a throttle body.

Post processing the obtain results are done in Para view. Pressure and velocity contour are generated and compared.

Flow Over a Bicycle using Python, Skill Lync.

Python program is written to calculate the drag force against a cyclist.

Also, program to plot Velocity vs Drag and Drag coefficient vs Drag force.

2R Robotic Arm Simulator, Skill Lync.

Python program is written to simulate the forward kinematics of a 2r Robotic Arm.

Solving second order ODEs, Skill Lync.

Python program is written that solves the ODE equation, where this ODE represents the equation of motion of a simple pendulum with damping.

Simulation of pendulum motion is obtained by the python program.

Academic Projects:

Experimental study on evaporation characteristic of biodiesel blended with nanoparticle using pendant drop at high ambient conditions.

A high-pressure chamber is developed to Study the evaporation characteristics of biodiesel derived from used cooking oil blended with nanoparticles at elevated temperature and pressure.

The droplet evaporation rate will be observed and analyzed using back light imaging method for neat diesel, bio-diesel and its proportional ratios with nanoparticles.
