I am currently working as a Registered Nurse at Acute Medicine Floor (specialty Neurology) at Etobicoke General Hospital. In my experience working there I have acquired exceptional skills pertaining to neurological assessment, management of stroke patients and rehabilitation. I have experience working closely with Speech language pathologists, Occupational therapists and dietitians collaborating care for patients.

I also have experience working as a Visiting Palliative RN with CarePartners serving the Kitchener-Waterloo community. I have extensive knowledge of pain control management, IV initiation and management, chronic disease management (CHF, COPD, Cancer and Oncology, chronic Diabetes and chronic Hypertension), simple and extensive wound care, PICC line/ Hickmann/Portacath/ Pluerex and Paracentesis management. I also have experience in Mental Health nursing and Geriatric Nursing.

In addition to this, I also have experience of one year in Intensive Care Unit from India as well as primary care nurse at Catheterization Lab.

I have acquired a post graduation certificate in Clinical and Critical Care Nursing from Conestoga College, Kitchener (ON) in 2015 which included courses outlined for Cardiopulmonary Nursing along with studying Arrhythmias and its management. Also to cater to the current trend of population to serve the elderly, I have also acquired certification in Gerontology and Chronic Illness from the same institution in 2016.

I also bring along knowledge of four different languages and a keen interest in learning about various cultures and their beliefs. I am highly motivated to apply my nursing skills and critical thinking to promote better as well as safe care for my clients.
