USAF Office of Secretary for International Affairs /Parsons Corporation Washington DC Mar 2018-Present

Program Manager for the USAF Engineer and Scientist Exchange Program (ESEP) and the Administrative Personnel Exchange Program (APEP) in the office of the Secretary of the Air Force: I direct the recruitment, selection and deployment of USAF science professionals to scientific activities to over 18 overseas locations for a period up to 2 years. Provide leadership in the execution of the program to include USAF representation before international partners.

I direct the selection, in-processing, pre-deployment training, budgeting /financial processing and finalizing deployment activities to selected allied nation.

I oversaw, in the absence of the Business Financial Specialist after her departure, the budgeting and finance resource management for the ONR-G command leadership, in addition to providing online knowledge and content management support. Senior Program Assistant: I was promoted to Senior Program Assistant to the Ford Foundation Diversity Pre-doctoral, Dissertation, and Postdoctoral Fellowships Program; I managed the day to day activities of the Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program. The program encourages US citizens to pursue PhD degrees and a career in education. My daily activities included: dissemination of program information and guidelines, scheduling multiple review panels, coordinating calibration exercises for review panel members, financial accountability and disbursement. I represented the Ford Foundation before the many minority groups that comprise the candidate pool for the program, via visits, conferences and seminars.

I provided general oversight and management of 35 Liaisons and their institutions participating in the Ford Fellows Liaison program. I advised graduate candidates, planned, organized and implemented workshops and conferences in the U.S, and Puerto Rico in collaboration with university officials. Program Assistant: As a Program Assistant my responsibilities included: general program management and administrative duties, communicating with potential Fellows, past Fellows and university officials regarding program activities and participation. Prepared review documentations for selected doctoral panel members, prepared panel review documentation, and contributed feedback in order to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the program. Because of my stellar performance, the Foundation requested I initiate a recruitment program in Puerto Rico because panel reviewers and the Academy’s leadership were concerned with the under representation of Fellows from Puerto Rico. I designed a plan, prepared the requisite logistics platform, initiated contact with all graduate level universities and traveled to Puerto Rico for the first direct outreach by the Ford Foundation to its student population. The outreach effort was a complete success and is currently being duplicated in other states.

NAFTA (North America Free Trade Agreement) Enrollment Coordinator: The Washington Center conducts exchange programs in which students from Canada and Mexico participate in internships in the Washington DC area. I served as a recruiter for Mexico and traveled to Mexico on numerous occasions for promotional meetings and presentations at various state and private universities.
