Portescap is a Swiss based Technology Company and it has completed 60 year’s. Portescap offers miniature motor technologies to solve the Motion needs of a spectrum of end markets, from medical device to various Industrial applications that save improve and enhance lives. Portescap into Brushless DC, Brush DC, stepper motors & miniature Gearbox.

- Responsible for existing product development & improving performance of the product to meet market standards.

- Responsible for both IDPM & EDPM related issues for existing product issues and troubleshooting line issues.

- Provide support to prototypes, DVP&R, reliability & validation.

- Conduct statistical analysis of data (performance/dimensional) to understand trends and implement corrective action.

- Value engineering (VA/VE) to achieve improved performance at a reduced cost.

- Apart from product engineering activity, also responsible for performing predictive risk mitigation based regression modeling through big data analysis.

- Perform Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), DFM, DFA specific to Engineering change management process.

- Create 3D models and analyze using ANSYS, engineering principals & judgment, technical specifications, and standards to meet necessary requirements and perform tolerance stack-up

- Expertise in PPS (Practical Problem solving).

- Lead the engineering change system of DC technology through the use of the Automation ECN software.

- Support on Process capability, PPAP, product testing & reliability for existing series products.

- Review & approve the NCR and FAIR for existing series products.

- Individually face internal & external audits for change control.

- Comply with various organizational initiatives like Innovation, Safety, Customer focus, processes, etc.

- Attend manufacturing handoff meetings and quality meetings to assure adequate design engineering support is provided when applicable

- Lead technical meetings and coordinate internally with Sales, Quality, Production, and Engineering representatives for a quick response with projects.

- Reporting to me one Trainee & one Draftsman.

- I reporting to the Product Engineering Manager & dotted line reporting to the R&D-Associate Director.

- Responsible for the assurance of DFMEA for the development of VET filling series machinery.

- Drive DFM & DFA design methodology and also maintain to performance ratio.

- Drive the project from scratch to completion including DOE

(Design of experiments, testing, and validation).

- Coordinate with the sourcing team and supplier to get the parts on time.

- Visited to supplier part audit to ensure the part correctness.
