Works in collaboration with an Orthopedic Reconstruction Surgeon. Provides care in the clinic, hospital and operation room settings. Performs health history intake, physical exams, formulate care plans, surgery planning, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic exams as well as patient education. Rounds on patients in the hospital providing admission and discharge planning as well as inpatient ordering. Consults on inpatient and emergency department patients. Assists in the operating room as a 1st assist in all orthopedic cases to include revision and reconstruction surgeries as well as infection cases.
