4 months dissertation work in the siesmic interpretation of 3D data at ONGC Dehradun, Uttrakhand. Work descriptions:

Data loading and selecting a CRS.

Loading and merging well log data for synthetic siesmogram generation. Horizon picking and making of various maps for structural interpretation. Running various type of attribute modules for qualitative interpretation. Software Exposure: PETREL

Summer internship

2 months summer internship at Fugro pvt. Ltd. Under the microzonation project in Chennai, Tamilnadu.

Work description:

Locating, analyzing and preparing the points for best quality data acquisition and safety measures.

Recording a 3-component ambient noise signal.

Data quality checking and data processing.

Instruments used: Tromino 3G, Mini Shark

Software exposure: Grilla, Geopsy

Geological field training

15 days geological field training at Nanital, Uttrakhand. Skills and lessons learned:

Measuring dip and strike of various type of rock beds. Structural and geological time interpretation of various geological exposures. Identification of various type rock samples.
