Directed company distribution operations and the Customer Service team with oversight of 800,000 SF of warehouse and distribution space in 4 facilities, including the assembly operations of Learning Resources’ sister company, ETA Hand2Mind. Managed the overall throughput and processing of materials, fulfillment and distribution of all products through multiple channels of distribution. Implemented continuous improvements, including automation and technology, resulting in an increase to productivity efficiency rates and reduced costs and errors.

Led warehouse management team in evaluating shipping processes and implementation of changes which resulted in meeting customer compliance and improved on time deliveries by 17%.

Certified Designated Representative for licensing in all states, as well as special certifications for Florida Department of Health and the California Board of Pharmacy.

Led the servicing of 100% of the US market for Heparin (2008) and Propofol (2009-2012), meeting increasing demand up to four times normal volume by shipping directly to customers in hospitals and clinics. Overcame labor management/crewing, capacity constraints and managing order volume which was beyond B2B model.

Sustained 99.9% inventory accuracy of an average $100mm of product inventory, resulting in 100% order fill rate.

Facilitated lean initiatives addressing throughput, processes, systems and productivity eliminating waste and finding efficiencies resulting in 22% cost savings, an 11% improvement in order accuracy, and 15% increase in productivity.

Site leader for the implementation of product serialization as the Pilot US Distribution Center.

Led the warehouse and order fulfillment operations in the Chicago Factory Distribution Center, shipping and receiving 70,000 cases of gum products daily employing 27 full-time employees. Directed the Promotional Display Prepack Department, operating seven packing lines with up to 100 contingent workers in a deadline oriented environment. Reviewed forecasts and established packing schedules. Collaborated with internal business teams and external partner vendors to ensure the timing of delivery schedules were met.

Advocated Lean Manufacturing concepts, developed processes which drove efficiencies and reduction in material handling resulting in cost savings of 18% and productivity improvements better than 12%.

Facilitated the transition from Legacy systems to SAP IM/WM.

Authored documentation explaining all SAP transactions, physical processes and procedures from production of finished product into the factory warehouse through to shipping of customer orders.

Acted as a Change Agent to facilitate the closing of the Chicago Factory relating to people, systems, processes and controls for the Distribution Warehouse and subsequent operations.

Directed the move of customer shipping operations to a third party warehousing company. Remained as a liaison at the 3PL DC to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and training of new personnel.
