As Principal of the school I was committed to driving standards as per ADEC expectations being accountable for carrying on the following duties and liaising between the Academic Team and the Management. As the founding Head I worked on developing and implementing the policies and procedures of the school. Worked on ensuring that the curriculum was robust and gave the students the freedom to observe explore and express. The SEND Dept. was formulated laying down the policy and interventions to provide inclusive education. The curriculum delivery was given a personalised approach so that it meets the needs of all students. CAT4 exam was introduced to identify the gifted and talented students so that lessons were not just challenging but engaging too.

Special focus and emphasis was given to Arabic and Islamic studies to ensure that students are aware of rich cultural heritage of the country they reside.

STEM program was introduced across grades as a part of innovation in the school.

Skill set audit of the staff was conducted to understand the gaps in learning.

Being an accredited trainer, regular CPD sessions were organised and joint observations were conducted to evaluate the impact.

Mentoring and peer assessment were arranged for all staff.

School visits to international schools were organised to make the staff aware of international standards and practices.

The health and safety of the students was given paramount importance with extensive documentation and checks and balances in place.

Ensured that all approvals accreditations and licences were up to date and there was complete compliance to the ADEC regulations.

The National Agenda, student competency framework and Moral Education Framework was inbuilt into the curriculum and a part of Long term plans.

The SDP and SEF was identified as a very comprehensive and a detailed document that was submitted during the ADEC inspection as the Head of the School.

As the Founding Head I was committed to quality education striking a balance between the expectations of Springdale’s in India and KHDA. I worked on building a culture and ethos that was Quintessentially Indian Innovatively International.

The curriculum was reviewed and given an innovative approach.

The classroom teaching and learning focussed on new learning and students were challenged to the next level.
