Danial received his PhD degree (materials engineering) under the supervision of Professor Geoff Spinks and Dr Sina Naficy from the University of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia in 2016. During my PhD, I worked on different aspects of stimuli-responsive materials for actuators and additive manufacturing applications. Soon after submission my PhD thesis, I was awarded the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science postdoctoral fellowship position at National Institute for Materials Science in Tsukuba. During my one year (2017-2018) stay in Japan, I worked on the synthesis and characterization of materials micro/nanoarchitectonics. Since March 2018, I am an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral fellow at Technical University of Berlin under the supervision of Professors Reimund Gerhard and Juergen Maas working on stimuli-responsive materials for manufacturing actuator devices.
