Bulk Loadout Efficiency Project October 2012

o Led a project to improve efficiency of the bulk loadout system. Worked with Packing and Loading manager and engineers to optimize bulk loadout capabilities through means of opening all of the product storage bins simultaneously. o Led a project to color code and properly label all corn mill area equipment and spouting. Collaborated with production supervisors, maintenance planner/scheduler and the area superintendent in order to shorten training time for new employees, reduce corn mill downtime by aiding in faster troubleshooting, and to provide current and potential customers a greater understanding of the facility’s production lines. 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) Project February 2018 o Led a 5S project to declutter, clean and organize one floor of the masa processing area of the facility to increase efficiency, productivity, and safety. Removed dead equipment, installed improved lighting fixtures and implemented a Kanban system for keeping proper stock levels of masa hammermill screens and sanitation tools. Project completed within 60 days with ongoing maintenance as needed. Sifter Project November 2018

o Developed a group of hourly employees to proficiency in executing tasks related to repairing and maintaining sifters within the milling process. Such tasks include: accurately diagraming product flow of each sifter; performing non-routine repairs such as replacing worn out ribs and press-top hardware; and regular preventative maintenance tasks such as replacing spent sifter cloths and inspecting sieve trays for excessive wear.
