Rotating Equipment Team Leader

OQ (Previously ORPIC) – Oman December 2017 – Current

Duties and responsibilities:

Leading Rotating maintenance team in performing day to day maintenance activities

Improving department daily execution compliance by closely leading and Managing Rotating team and providing direction, engineering expertise, improvement of work procedure while ensuring full compliance to HSE regulations and standards.

Enhance maintenance effectiveness by optimize maintenance activities, improving spares management, develop long-term service contracts and introducing quality check plan for all maintenance activities.

Improve MTBF and reduce Mean-Time-To- Repair (MTTR) which resulted in higher plant availability and reliability by implementing defect elimination techniques and RCFA,

analyzing/executing major/complex troubleshooting activities, Monitoring and analysis of rotating equipment performance and conditions and identifying dominant failures, bad actors and ensuring proactive maintenance tasks are in place to eliminate and/or mitigate identified failure modes

Saved DHDS recycle gas compressor Extended shutdown (estimated cost 1 Million USD) due to DGS hang up by performing on-site seal wash and free-up.

Improved Pumps MTBF by 20% by improving preventive maintenance tasks, optimization of spare parts inventory,

Introduce new mechanical seals for PYRT steam turbine which improved steam turbines MTBF to 5 years instead of 6-8 month due to carbon rings design life limitation.

Duties and responsibilities:

Reduced Backlog and Maintenance Deferrals by improving Maintenance planning efficiency and ensuring required resources (e.g. labors, materials, tools, vendor…etc.) allocated for safe and efficient execution.

Fulfill HSE requirement for safety critical equipment performance by planning performances test, analyze the results and rectify any deterioration detected.

Technical support for rotating equipment in PETRONAS Facilities across Malaysia

Improving maintenance effectiveness by reviewing current preventive maintenance programs and develop specific equipment reliability plan.

Refinement of conditional Based maintenance activities by auditing reports including vibrations analysis, oil samples, equipment performances and identify required improvements.

Enhance System reliability by reviewing RBD modeling and identifying weak links and recommend best course of action to achieve target reliability.

Rectify Lube oil Varnish issue and improve lube oil monitoring program for GE LM2500.

Develop, execute and advice overall maintenance activities for mechanical functions in order to achieve plant reliability, availability and maintainability.
