In addition to using various manual machines, I ran Haas CNC mills using probes, programing with Mastercam from Solidworks. Work included creating complex parts in steel, aluminum and plastics. This work often required making special tooling and holding fixtures. Projects included assembly and test fixtures as well as making injection mold parts. I also gained an understanding of high speed, hard machining techniques.

Lakeland FL. 2002-present. Self-employed involved in all aspects of the custom knife business including sales, marketing and doing trade shows. Skills involved included precise hand grinding; extensive use of custom designed and made fixturing as well as CAD design and CNC Milling. Much time was dedicated to developing new heat treat and finishing processes as well as developing new designs. My designs were also licensed out to production knife companies including Outdoor Edge, Benchmade and Boker for mass production. This involved working closely with their design and engineering departments to produce factory versions of my handmade custom knives.
