Postcode drilldown project:

Re-Wrote legacy SAS program using PROC SQL and PROC GMAP to display Centrelink Newstart and Youth Jobseeker allowance customers on a thematic map across postcodes in Australia and optimized it for efficiency.

Wrote a SAS program to produce a plot using PROC GPLOT of Newstart recipients of a particular postcode, LGA, CED against Newstart recipients nationwide and converted it to a SAS Stored Process.

GIST Project: - (Community Cabinet Reports)

Established a geographical concordance between CD to LGA, CD to CED, CD to SSC, by match merging with population dataset supplied from ABS, the concordance was calculated based on maximum population of the CD within the geographical area.

Created a SAS format using PROC FORMAT for each geographical concordance and ensured consistency in the naming of the formats, the formats enabled quick lookup of data that enabled automation of reports.

Processed the raw data of Centrelink customers containing entitlement of payment types like Newstart, Parenting, Age pension etc. into administrative datasets on a quarterly basis.

Generated reports in SAS containing bar charts using PROC GCHART, PROC GKPI for Socio Economic Index, key Centrelink and Medicare entitlements for geographical areas mainly LGA and CED, also the report contained ABS statistics like Unemployment, Age groups, Education, Income and Travel, these reports were generated on quarterly basis.

GIST Lite Project:-

Automated the reports containing bar charts, tables, KPI of SEIFA, key Centrelink and Medicare, and ABS statistics for all the SSC’S, CED’s, LGA’s by writing SAS/Macros using macro parameters and loops.

Developed geospatial thematic maps from raw data, geo-coded the longitudinal dimensions of the customer raw data to geographical dimensions like LGA (Local Government Area), CED (Commonwealth Electorate District) and wrote algorithms for interactive display and zooming of the maps.
