The Assessment of Risk for the Group and management the negotiation and placement of all insurance cover not covered by Fidelity Insurance Limited with London (Secondary layer). Reviewing Group Insurance Policies and drafting policies applicable to all primary layer cover issued to clients from / by Fidelity Insurance Limited (later G4S Insurance Limited).

The Management of all legal liability claims

Management of all motor vehicle accident claims for a self-insured fleet in excess of 1000 vehicles

Management of money loss claims which will include: o Fully understanding all operational procedures within the Company to identify areas of risks

o The investigation of incidents reported (together with the Investigations / Internal Audit Department),

o Communicating with all required parties including the Board of Directors, Management, Investigations and where required Client’s on claims received, investigated and findings (Internal and external). o Identify or highlight non-conformance areas or non-compliance with policies, procedure and statutory requirements.

o Negotiating with Third Parties / Insurers / Customers / Suppliers on all recoveries where G4S had suffered a loss / damage and recovered funds o Analysing the present risks identified in each investigation and provide advice to Operations on methods to reduce / limit future risks and exposure or identify trends where applicable and take the corrective action and steps to rectify the situation and mitigate or minimise the risk. Monitor the effectiveness and efficiencies of such internal controls on a weekly / monthly basis and where not effective repeat the cycled of assessing the risk, implementing a new corrective action or adjusting the corrective action and monitoring compliance with the corrective action and reviewing effectiveness again until the risk is mitigated / reduced.. o Drive the Implementation of Corrective Action or Disciplinary Action where necessary. o Manage the accruals within the Insurance Company for losses / incidents reported on a monthly basis in terms of the claims management system and compare such losses with the losses estimated for the month, provide the necessary adjustments and monitor the claims to try and mitigate and prevent the losses from increasing / happening again.

o Verify and authorise claims payment in line with Insurance Policies / Contractual Limits and Limits of Authority.
