Jacobs Engineering:SUCF Project 13D63: Rehabilitation of Student Union, Stony Brook NY February 2017 thru Present

The scope of the project includes demolition, which includes the total removal of all elements down to the existing poured-in-place waffle slab concrete structure and construction for the rehabilitation of the complete existing Student Union 168,886 GSF Building. The project will involve a complete interior renovation and rehab of the building envelope, including, but not limited to structural modification, new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and elevator systems. The project will be a LEED Silver Certified building. My primary duties

● Act as University’s Liaison between Project Consultant and all Contractor’s for the project

● Provide administration, coordination monitoring and inspection of all the work of the Contractors for the Project to final completion and acceptance by owner. Oversee and coordinate commissioning of building systems by Contractor and Project Consultant.

● Inspect all material and equipment prior to installation for conformance with contract documents

● Determine the need for and the amount of testing laboratory services required or desired. Coordinate review and monitor the performance and findings of such services. Provide Consultant reports and results of testing.

● Promptly advise contractor of any work, material, equipment deficiencies and request corrective action on their part. Maintain a log of such deficiencies dates of observations and remediation.

● Receive, investigate and monitor the reply to all written communications from the Contractor

● Prepare, develope, maintain, distribue all safeguard all inclusive onsite record systems for Project

● Schedule and conduct job progress meetings to discuss procedures, progress, problems and scheduling to establish status and accountability necessary for timely action for each item

● Construction schedule Analysis; Evaluate contractor’s schedule to understand the proposed logic and duration of the elements of work. Review for conformance with scope required in contract documents. Review if schedule shows order, interdependence and sequence of activities is logical and reasonable

● Receive Contractor’s monthly payment application, review for completeness and accuracy, provide recommendation to consultant

● Review change proposals for the contractor for cost reasonableness, validity and completeness. Provide recommendation to consultant

● Manage the collection, inventory and delivery of all contractually required “ turnover items including but not limited to submittals, warranties, sample materials, keys, spare parts. etc.

● Coordinate submission of Operation and Maintenance Manuals and the required training including videotape training sessions with a copy of the tape provided to the campus

● Coordinate the submission of As-Built Drawings(hard copy and electronic) Review as builts for completeness and accuracy

Project Superintendent

Phase 1 of the program includes a 5-story Dining Center and Residence Halls. The Dining Center is 65,000SF with 950 seats, and the West Residence Halls is 118,000SF with 302 beds. Phase II of Program includes The proposed project consists of a new building containing 457 resident hall beds. Construction classification is Type 1B andOccupancy type is R2 My primary duites:
