Research Assistant, ASU Photovoltaic Reliability Laboratory (PRL) June 20-Present

Performed I-V curve tracing and imaging of over 50 commercial modules and research level photovoltaic modules of different technologies & collected, observed & analyzed characterization results with identifying the defects in the modules.

• Experienced working on highly accelerated life tests such as damp heat, thermal cycling & UV exposure, identified the degradation on modules by differencing pre & post characterization results over 40 modules.

• Accomplished data entry, analyzing the results of pre-stress & post stress characterization for Department of Energy

(DOE), NREL projects according to IEC 61215 standards of 2 different technology like PERC & AI-BSF.

• Designed and executed experiments, collected, and analyzed data, and reported experimental results for the Static Mechanical Loading of 5400Pa which is equivalent to snow or wind loads to initiate cracks on cell level.

• Conducted developmental tests inline for 4 cell glass modules & effectively delivered quality test results.

• Installed over 20 modules in the outdoor field & contributed to the definition of goals, scope of work, executed projects to completion, scheduled working with large & small projects.

• Carried out visual inspection & identified some hotspots using IR images at Arizona Ocotillo Powerplant over 20 modules which are exposed 5-10 years in field.

THERMAX Ltd, Pune, India – Procurement Engineer Jul 17 –Nov 18

Standardized the product design & drafting for instrumentation parts using AutoCAD, assembly, drawing generation & procured materials from international vendors, slashed 30% cost by negotiating prices with vendor on different projects.

• Reporting the Bill of materials (BOM), Specifications, Technical Product Documentation with 17% cost effective.

• Accomplished in review processes created by production engineers, product development & releasing purchase order using Oracle ERP software. Self-starter and comfortable with owning projects.

• Responded immediately with technical expertise for site issues & organized a presentation to co-ordinate the sub-team.

• Supported project management with milestone, coordinated with the logistics management & high attention to details. Powertrain Leader – Turbonites Team, Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) BAJA Feb 16 - Jan 17

Constructed a 3-D CAD model gearbox, driveshaft using Solidworks, analytical calculation, root cause analysis, DFMEA, analysed with Ansys, & fabricated the Powertrain of an ATV that gives optimum torque to run over rough terrain.

• Combined Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) along with 3 different gear ratios & obtained varied torque.

• Led throughout the year, configuration management, hands on with assembly, testing & troubleshooted during event.

• Developed & executed the process development, troubleshooting & maintenance while testing with safety protocols. APPLIED PROJECT:

PRL, Thermal Modelling & Analysis of Solar Modules June 20 - Present

• Analyzed 4-cell modules & commercial modules with various insulation for accelerated testing of modules. Identify the defects & analyzed with prestress & post-stress characterization results.

• Demonstrated & identified the amount of temperature difference for 3 types of modules Glass-Glass, Glass-Back sheet, Glass- Transparent on both Arizona & Florida site of different encapsulant like EVA & POE.

• Identified power loss from the I-V curve tracing, in the modules which are exposed the field for 6 months.
