These businesses are professionally managed and grouped in industry segments such as Chemicals, Engineering Technologies and Shipping. Pacific Valves Division is a joint venture with Crane Co. and it offers a range of highly reliable Gate, Globe & Check Valves. Typical applications of these field proven valves include power stations and process industries involving flow control of steam, water, gas, oil and other non-aggressive media. BS&B Sanmar is a joint venture with BS&B Inc. which was first in the country to manufacture Rupture disk and supplying them with assemblies and burst alert sensors for more than 30 years and has been the world leader in Pressure relief technology. Roles & Responsibilities:-

Study the Project Specifications, ITP’s, Scope of work, Time of completion accordingly Schedule the Project.

Schedule the Project backwards from dispatch date to initial process and forecast the required resources.

Forecast and analyse potential schedule impacts & develop appropriate reports for alerting management.

After Getting Approval of the Project Schedule, Individual Activities are planned with target milestones for each phase (Material, Production & Despatch Plans) and concerned departments are intimated.

Monitoring the Activities by using SAP Reports and other manual progress updates if required.

Analyse the Critical Path involved in the projects to avoid the bottlenecks in Project.

Keep Focus on the Schedule Stage Wise Execution and Update the Project Schedule on Daily Basis.

Interacting with the client/consultant for approval of basic/detailed engineering documents, QAP, Inspection Schedules and any critical delivery requirements. Resume of P. Karthik Kumar 2 P a g e

Coordinating and managing the inspection process for all incoming materials in close co-ordination with the Quality Control Department.

Achieving Manufacturing and billing targets on a monthly basis.

Generating reports for the project execution and ensure completion of the project within time & budget.

Preparation of Planning schedule, Scheduling, Inventory Report, Weekly Load Sheets for Shop & Sub contractor and various Reports of Daily, Weekly & Monthly.

Scheduling preventive maintenance for all equipments in the plant in coordination with Maintenance Team.

Scheduling MRP Run daily in SAP System and convert planned orders against Sales Order or Planned Independent Requirements to Purchase Requisition. Also ensure Purchase orders are issued to suppliers with no delay.

Implementation of any changes in customer specification or in Standards smoothly with no material wastages/scrap.

Reviewing operational timings for in-house operations monthly and ensure reduction wherever possible.

Ensure availability of matched materials at any point of time for utilising the plant capacity to maximum possible.

Monitoring and maintaining Inventory levels by correcting Reorder levels and replenishment quantities.

Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Production, Logistics & Site to meet delivery schedule with quality.

Ensuring 100% compliance to QMS Requirements (in accordance with API Spec Q1 & ISO 9001:2015). KEY CONTRIBUTION:

Implemented Dispatch Schedule preparation before starting work, it will help to predict the Bottlenecks in Projects well in advance.

PRODUCTION:

Observation: Monthly Production Output was very low.

Action: Kaizen activities implemented in Shop Floor Layout & Stores Layout. Loading Sequences changed to reduce machine downtime. Value Stream Mapping was done. Man power Management and work centre were managed to produce high effective output.

Result: Production quantity increased about 5 times in the past 6 months.

SALES & ORDER BOOKING:

Observation: Sales and Order Booking were subpar to Market demand.

Action : Conducting meetings with customers to understand customer priorities and critical delivery requirements.

Result: Sales Boosted 7 times in duration of 2 years and order booking increased gradually with the sales.

On time delivery increased from 27% to 90% in 2 years.

Inventory Control –Provided inventory was made almost to minimum inventory turns by using alternate materials for the requirements with customer’s consent.
