Experience

Walmart- Walmart Distribution March 2012-December 2014

Customer service associate position with job duties including processing returns to the store, cashing payroll and government checks, doing money transactions for Money Gram, working a cash register to get customers out of the store promptly and with great customer service. Transferring to the Distribution center, I started in the shoe department. Responsibilities included packing shoes into larger boxes as they came down a line to get them ready to be put on a conveyer to be loaded onto trucks to ship. You had to move at a fast pace as you were covering at least 8 lines at once. After 6 months I transferred to Dot.com where I worked on the receiving sorter. In this position I would receive merchandise down a conveyer and sort it, put new labels and put on a new conveyer. I also learned other jobs in the department so that if help were needed I could be of assistance.

Quillen Manor June 2011-March 2012

As a Certified Nursing Assistant/ Med Tech I was responsible for at least 10 residents at all times. My daily job included basic care needs, getting residents dressed, getting residents to the dining room, bathing and changing diapers for residents. I moved up to the position of Med Tech and had to administer medication on a schedule and as needed. We had to do monthly audits on our med carts and take additional classes as needed to stay up to date with any medical information or training that was needed to perform our job safely.

Walmart Supercenter December 2003- May2011

As a Customer Service Manager I was responsible for numerous cashiers, cart pushers, people greeters as well as outlying register associates. My responsibilities included but not limited to were maintaining a proficient amount of registers open at all times so that we could serve our customers promptly, getting loans for associates, covering breaks, handling a change drawer as well as maintaining a correct dollar amount at all times. Speaking with customers that may not be pleased with our services as well as those that shared praise for there experience. If we were short staffed, I would work right along with my fellow associates as much as possible to assure they did not get behind. I had to conduct interviews for potential new associates as well as setting them up with the proper associates to assure they would be trained for any position that they applied for.
