Project Description (brief): Viacom AEM Platform is an application framework built on AEM to onboard and migrate multiple media site content in AEM. Some of the sites are fully implemented on AEM while others only hosted content in AEM for an headless AEM implementation. The solution positions AEM as a content aggregation and collaboration platform to bring together, structured, editorial and marketing content all in one place before syndicating it out to many outlets touching various breakpoints including web, mobile, set-top boxes, media players and streaming platforms.

In addition to AEM all the backend services are integrated through custom API managed through AWS Lambda.

AEM is integration with scene7 under dynamicmedia_scene7 run mode. The project was about migrating this AEM 6.3 instance to AEM 6.4 and prepare the AEM platform and infrastructure for future projects. The project entailed installing AEM 6.4 in new server infrastructure connected to Amazon S3, configuring Scene7 integration and migration of digital assets from AEM 6.3.

As part of commerce based solution development a full-fledged hybris based solution was developed and integrated with CQ5. Instead of creating a new mobile website, the existing website is leveraged along with very high re-usability of existing business logic. Modifications were made to low level CMS architecture to adapt the same site for mobile and web requests.
