• Managed a $2 billion portfolio for the Kuwait Investment Authority (the 5th largest sovereign wealth fund in the world)

• Created an entirely new client market for RBC – selling to Embassy’s and Diplomats (recognizing that each individual is high net worth and holds regional positions for roughly five years)

• Managed a portfolio of about $1.5 billion across more than 1,500 clients – with a retention rate of 100%

• Responsible for structuring Islamic products that better suited the specific needs of Embassy’s such as those of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, UAE, etc.

Treasury Manager 1993 - 2003

The National Titanium Dioxide Co. Ltd. - Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

• Financed the expansion of NTD’s production line in Saudi Arabia and hedged its exposure, a project worth around

£65 million

• Oversaw the shareholder buyout agreement which saved the company around $5 million in limiting/restricting the ability of U.S. shareholders to liquidate their positions upon exiting the Saudi entity

• Built a Treasury team of 25 members and was responsible for creating relationships with local and international banks – this proved to be a crucial factor in helping NTD execute several financing initiatives down the road Treasurer 1983 - 1993
