Human Resources Generalist

South Texas Family Residential Center – Dilley, TX – November 2016 to present Provide guidance, support and expertise in the implementation and administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs. Support the administration to benefits, compensation, compliance, employee relations, organization development, recruitment, and other general areas of HR. Work with HR staff to ensure all specific human resources processes, procedures and contractual requirements are met. Provides support and guidance in the resolution of employee grievances and/or complaints. Offers assistance with all company related benefit programs. Time tracking and processing payroll. Assisting employees with payroll discrepancies. Conducting annual benefit enrollment. Oversees workers compensation process by monitoring claims and assisting in workers' compensation hearings. Process FMLA and Non-FMLA requests, maintain leave records and time tracking. Maintenance of personnel and medical record keeping. Assists in coordinating termination process. Responds to employee's request for medical and religions accommodations by engaging in an interactive process with the employee. Documents and follow up with the employee. Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations in relation to human resources. Reviewing work tasks and assignments to ensure process are effective and completed in a timely manner. E-verify I9s. Conduct human resources onboarding to new employees, as well as instructor for a variety of pre-service and in-service courses. January thru March 2018 assisted with Lee Correctional Facility reactivation in Kentucky.
