CAREER PROGRESSION
ITCHY FEET / CREATIVE DOORMATS
Founder & Owner Nov 2014 - Present
Creative Doormats started as a side-business producing personalised doormats from our garage in November 2014. I was working full-time at Eskom at the time, but after securing funding through the first season of Shark Tank South Africa we grew the business significantly and I am running it full-time ever since. Business taught me plenty new skills: how to manage people, clients, prioritising, expense calculations, dealing with operational issues, cash flow operations and many more. Creating jobs has probably been the most rewarding part of my entrepreneurial journey. Graduate in Training January 2012 – December 2013 I joined Eskom at the start of 2012 as part of their Graduate in Training program. This is a rotation program where I worked in several divisions within the finance department and got exposure to many different fields where I have developed a diverse set of skills in Accounts Payable, Document Management Centre, Assets, Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Financial Systems.
I am a hardworking, creative, optimistic, open-minded, considerate, organized, willing and enthusiastic young female with good interpersonal and leadership skills. I strive to be the best at what I do and to always do more than what is expected of me.
I had an amazing financial corporate career from 2012 to 2016, after which I pursued a career as a business founder and operator until now. I am currently looking for a new challenge and working environment where I can make a bigger impact and to be more involved with people and add more value to other people's lives.
Administrative and Financial skills have always been one of my strengths and through my accounting and business career I learned to perform well in both a team and individual environment. I cope well under pressure and I am able to take on significant responsibilities. I am confident that I will be able to perform the task of a Personal Assistant successfully and I am looking forward to the opportunity of joining your team.

Sizwe Hlatswayo Eskom Officer: Financial Accounting 072-***-**** Lisa De Agrela Eskom Manager: Financial Accounting 011-***-**** Financial Officer in Technical Accounting and Reporting January 2014 – July 2015
My appointment as a Financial Officer in Technical Accounting and Reporting was by far the most challenging position. Tough deadlines, auditors, dealing with the CFO, planning and running important meetings and preparing and reviewing financial statements were my primary tasks. I had strict managers whom taught me so many key skills within my field of expertise. Financial Officer in Treasury Accounting August 2015 – March 2016 I love new challenges and asked my managers for a rotation to Treasury. Here I learned how the "Bank" of Eskom works. My responsibilities included daily forex recons, budget, planning and consolidation reconciliations, dealing with auditors, reviewing accruals and treasury accounting related activities. Treasury is a challenging environment and I enjoyed the steep learning curve. Project Accounting Officer in Project Accounting April 2016 – October 2016 When moving to Cape Town from Johannesburg, I was fortunate enough to be transferred within Eskom. In Project Accounting, my responsibilities included dealing directly with auditors, project budgeting and maintenance, assets under construction, monthly dashboards and daily recons. The operational side of the business was refreshing and probably my favourite division within Eskom.
