In collaboration with various medical center teams and services, responsible for directing accelerated implementation and integration of Whole Health Services into the organizational culture using the Whole Health Systems (WHS) Model. The WHS model empowers and equips veterans and employees through education and support by the Whole Health Team. Recently we were awarded the Learning Collaborative II this year- and will be working with a Pilot PACT team to help change the clinical conversation between Veteran and their providers to build a shared goal that is based on Veteran’s self-identified Mission, Aspiration, and Purpose for their health and life.

- Developed and implemented a National VA Award winning NP-led multi-disciplinary Heart Failure Program at JBVAMC to serve veterans diagnosed with acute Heart Failure and meet Performance Measures. It was started with one nurse practitioner (NP), one cardiologist, and a nurse in October 2010, and later expanded as a multidisciplinary clinic with addition of a pharmacist, a psychologist, and a dietitian. The focus of the program is patient education for self-care and chronic disease management.

-Supervisory responsibility of three different units, over 45 employees including RNs, health technicians, and dialysis technicians.
Advance Practice Nurse- Education Service 1996-1997
Was detailed to education service for a year to bring all the staff up-to-date on their competencies and continuing education that had not been done since the departure of the then CNS
Developed and completed clinical competencies for all the ICUs and Telemetry staff

management approach. As a result ED overcrowding and hospital divergence were minimized and wait times improved.
