REPRESENTATIVE PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Safety & Manager Air Park Petro, MD

(05/2019 – present)

The project was Construction of Oil Deport & Tanks (over 100,000 barrels), both elevated and underground facilities, under the contractual agreement of BP & Exxon Oil Companies for storage and dispatching the shipment at needful locations. This construction project include the deep excavation, scaffolding, building elevated permeable walls, lifting activities, and a network of pipelines with safety valued electrically automated equipment to avoid the inherent risks of petroleum products. Featured responsibilities under this project is to develop and lead the Loss Prevention Policies and provide awareness to contractor and others to applicable OSHA & other legal requirements and propose improvements in the existing system. Preparing Safety Manuals, Risk Assessments/JSAs and Procedural plan and controlled revisions whenever required. Formulating periodical reviewing procedures & crane heavy lifting Plans, propose changes strategically based on the requirements of jobs. Lead OSHA Compliance officers and other visiting faculties at site.

Worked with alfanar Construction (P&W) & its Engineering Subs in Testing & Commissioning of Power Plant (03 major +700MW capacities) and Grid Stations (more than 15 in my tenure) from New construction to energization handovers. Leading the construction of Power Plants/Substations which included Excavation, Confined Space Entry, Scaffolding, Permit to Work, Work @ Height, Low/Medium/High Voltage Electrical Testing, Medium and Heavy Lifting Operations, Exit/Entry Routes for heavy machinery and mobilization, Handling of material in storage yards, Use of hand & power tools, Welding/Cutting/Grinding activities, erection of power line structure and their Transmission/Distribution system. Live Testing and Operations were also included by Testing & Commissioning.

Conducting Orientations and Trainings for employees as per their trades. Investigating incident/accidents using FMEA tools to avoid recurrence. Certify alfanar Testing & Commissioning with ISO QMS, OHSMS & EMS Certification. Analyze semi-annually performance monitoring and present the success to Management at higher. Involving Customers from the tender stage to the end stage getting their feedbacks on delivery of performance.

Safety Inspector – Shahbaz Air Base US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Pak

This project was construction of USACE facilities at PAF Air Base under the echo-west International Company. Project includes Construction of utility buildings, Use of Heavy Machinery and Cranes, Roads & Runways construction, Orientation and Entry/Exit Routes and Pass. Site base trainings provided to employees as per the requirements and nature of trade.

Shutdown Safety Engineer Descon Engineering, Qatar

(02/2013 - 07/2013)

Two (45 Days each) refinery shut downs of 65 Grid Stations operation & Maintenance which includes all the switchgears and control panels, Gas Insulation Systems (GIS), Transformers and other utilities. Equipment Rack in Rack out, Cleaning through proper Isolation Lock out Tag out (LOTO) System, Confined space entry, authorized entries and several testing of medium and high voltage for transformers, GIS & Switchgears.

Safety Engineer - Orient Energy Project Jammy Constructors, Pak

(08/2010 – 01/2013)

Construction of 06 Grid Stations and Installation of Equipment in the facility, Heavy generators for power generation and distribution of state addition level. Employees orientation, Tool Box Talks, trainings provided the access to the project site. Daily Site Inspection, equipment storage, handling of hand and power tools, Excavation, scaffolding, form works, and work at height are the main activities at site. After build of facilities, installation & testing of switchgear and control rooms become the prime activities are projects.
