Job Portrayal

Surge tank collects effluent water from Gas Gathering Station (GGS) operated by Oil & Gas Corporation of India (ONGC). Effluent water comes from Heater Treater (Three phase separator) where it’s gets collected in Surge tank designed to have max resident time for waste water. Appropriate dosing of chemical is done to break emulsion. Effluent water from surge tank flows through gravity to CPI (Corrugated Plate Interceptor) where free oil and bigger particle gets separated. Free oil separated flows to slop oil pit and effluent water flows to IGF

(Induced Gas Flotation). Gas bubbles are introduced for further oil separation. Oil separated from IGF flows to oil sump and effluent water is pumped to NSF

(Nut Shell Filter). At NSF smaller particle and oil molecules gets trapped inside the filtrate and then treated water is pumped to UF tanks which are connected in series. Treated water is then collected and pumped for water injection to surface disposal through Peroni pump.
