ACADEMIC PROJECTS:

‘CFD simulation of abrasive flow machining for bio implant materials’. In this project, CFD simulation was performed on the abrasive flow machining process and the results obtained from CFD simulation and theoretically are compared with available experimental data and the better machining parameters for biomaterials were predicted.

‘Automatic beam switching headlights’. In this project, a retrofittable product which does automatic beam switching of headlights was designed and fabricated.

‘Electrically power-assisted steering’. In this project, electrically power-assisted steering without any sensors and controllers was designed and fabricated.

‘Manufacturing of piston using sand casting’. In this project, the piston of an IC engine was manufactured through the sand casting process.

‘Prototype of four-bar mechanism’. In this project, a working model on which all kinds of four-bar mechanisms can be demonstrated was manufactured.

‘Effect of stroke to bore ratio on performance of the engine’. In this project, the effect of the stroke to bore ratio on the performance of an IC engine was studied.

‘Manufacturing of sprocket’. In this project, a sprocket was designed and manufactured.

‘Design and manufacturing of Hydraulic lift’. In this project, the design and fabrication of a prototype of a hydraulic lift were done.

‘Design of flanged coupling’. In this project, a protected flanged coupling was designed for a case and its part modelling was done in CREO and the analytical results and results obtained from the ANSYS were compared.

‘Testing of 12V alternator for heavy load conditions’. In this project, a 12V alternator which is used in automobiles was tested heavy load conditions.

‘Conducting bending test on aluminium alloy to determine its young’s modulus and flexural rigidity’. In this project, a method to find young’s modulus of a material and flexural rigidity of a beam was studied.

‘Evaluation of properties of C1018 steel in heat-treated and non-heat treated conditions’. In this project, physical properties and microstructure of the steel have been evaluated in non-heat treated, annealed, normalized, and hardened conditions. CERTIFICATES AND COURSES:
