Management Analyst

I plan and coordinate Executive management activities that require the attention of the Associate Commissioner (AC) and Deputy Associate Commissioner (DAC) in the Office of Budget. I maintain executive level calendars, coordinate internal and external meetings compile and prioritize key background info in advance of meetings, to keep the AC and DAC appraised. In addition, I review and coordinate briefing materials between the Budget staff and Executive leadership in advance and communicate expectations on the behalf of the AC and DAC as appropriate. Other duties include management of the central Front Office to ensure adequate coverage to screen, greet, and guide visitors and other staff as necessary. I am also responsible for maintaining interagency relationships to schedule and coordinate meeting and briefings within and outside of the organization. I also handle Audit Controls inbox by analyzing the content to determine assignment to the appropriate division to provide representatives for conferences, comments to draft/final audits & recommendations & prepare for executive review and approval. This duty involves using interagency database and software to appropriately and quickly follow-up and closes all responses. My achievements include promotion to the next grade level and cash awards for superior work performance.

I provide ongoing staff support in a variety of administrative areas. I prepare communications and briefing documents for managers and communicate verbally and in writing for meetings and other schedule related issues. I participate in informal briefings with both the AC/DAC providing updates and last minute meeting details along with background documents.

As the Training Liaison, I coordinated responses for division-wide employee training and development. I assisted the Executive Officer by handling personnel management processes and organization policies and procedures. I maintain and coordinate updates to the master list of Federal Registry Notices and prepare quarterly reports for the AC/DAC. I coordinate with building services to facilitate furniture moves and acquire meeting space for weekly division meetings & staff meetings.

I assist the Executive Officer with personnel management issues by utilizing personnel policy and procedures and affirmative employment and labor relations, to prepare documentation to post a job vacancy. I analyze and compile sensitive employee documentation while working closely with Team Supervisors during the review and selection process. I initiate personnel actions for GS-14s and below in the FPPS (Federal Personnel and Payroll Systems) and forwarding the actions to the Executive Officer for approval.

Responsible for development and authorization, denial or reversal of disability determinations made under Title II and Title XVI of the Social Security Act and the Federal Coal Mine Health and Safety Act.
