Physician Assistant Student Rotations August 2015-December 2016

• Infectious Disease Rotation at TriStar Skyline Medical Center with Dr. Jayesh Patel

• Orthopedic Surgery Rotation at Arkansas Specialty Orthopedics with Dr. Charles Pearce

• Learned appropriate sterile technique, including positioning and draping a patient.

• First assist on 18 knee arthroscopies, 23 rotator cuff repairs, 16 carpal tunnel releases, 2 ACL reconstructions, 1 hip arthroscopy, and multiple ORIFs. Demonstrated appropriate closing techniques including figure of eight, interrupted subcuticular, running subcuticular, and staple placement. In addition, became proficient at the placement of dressing, bandages, and splints.

• Assisted in over 50 joint injections.

• Performed history and physicals on new patients (approximately 150 patients total), including reading MRIs and X- Rays, and formulating assessment and plan.

• OB/GYN Rotation at White County Medical Center with Dr. Kyle Citty
