Summary of Qualifications

I am holder of a Master Degree in Financial Economics and a Bachelor Degree in Business Economics with Information Systems, from the University of Mauritius. Moreover, I possess an ACCA level 1 and I have a sound knowledge of information technology.

I have undertaken consultancy work with the World Health Organization (WHO), during the period December 2017 to November 2019 in connection with the development of the 3rd and 4th Round of National Health Accounts for the Republic of Mauritius.

I worked as “Service to Mauritius” (STM) intern at the Ministry of Health and Quality of Life, from July 2015 to July 2017, and at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development from July 2014 to July 2015. During the course of the internship programme, I have acquainted myself with a wide range of skills and I have acquired extensive experience in the field of economic planning, health planning, applied health economics, formulation of strategies, costing of hospital services and support to decision making. Besides, I hold more than five years of experience in the accountancy field. I worked as Manager and Accounts Clerk at Alu Spot Ltd from April 2010 to April 2014 and Accounts and Audit Clerk at Business Financial Consult from December 2008 to March 2010.

(WHO) in connection with the development of the 3rd and 4th Round of National Health Accounts for the Republic of Mauritius, including the island of Rodrigues.

Duties undertaken: tracking of health care expenditures from all public and private entities in the Republic of Mauritius; analysis of all primary and secondary data and their classifications in line with the System of Health Accounts (SHA) 2011 Framework; formulation of Report on Household Out-of-Pocket Expenditure on Health; development of 7 health accounts matrices using the Health Accounts Production Tool; formulation of NHA Report for the Republic of Mauritius

2014-2017: Service to Mauritius Intern, Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (July 2014 - July 2015) and Ministry of Health and Quality of Life (July 2015 – July 2017).
