Roles & Responsibilties

Waste management:-

FFS Refiners is a registered Hazardous Waste Management Facility, taking in millions of litres of Used lubricating oils annually and recycling it into various industrial fuels and Re-refined Base oils. Along with this comes a myriad of Legal requirements for record keeping and reporting. Among others I am responsible for:

oExternal reporting to the South African Waste Institute

oExternal reporting to the Industry Watchdog (Rose Foundation)

oAuditing and custody of all documentation relating to waste management

oRegular auditing of Suppliers to ensure compliance

oEngaging directly with internal and external auditors

oEnsuring legal compliance for the company

Raw materials:-

Daily forecasting of required materials in conjunction with the production team taking into consideration dynamic changes in the final product requirements

Negotiations with suppliers regarding pricing and availability of raw materials

Deciding in conjunction with other branch managers at which of FFS’s Facilities the available materials can have the most value adding potential

Importing of raw material
