Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Static and dynamic structural analysis using FEM of Tube and Pylon structure for Toulouse (France) test project. (Autodesk Solid works/ Staad Pro)

2.FEM Analysis for buckling of tube due to internal vacuum pressure, FEM modeling of tube and pod to check for deflection, determining the ride quality. Create vacuum proofing details critical to maintain vacuum environment inside the tube.

3.Coordination with propulsion and levitation team regarding forces on track and load transfer to steel tube. Creating patent document preparation with engineering calculations and solutions for HTT as a technology company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Analysis of structures like underground manholes, buildings and steel structures using manual calculations in excel sheets by applying codes like BSEN1991 and QCS2013 etc. ( Design of telecom manholes, surface water drainage manholes, treated sewage effluent manholes, street light foundations, high mast foundations, traffic signal foundations etc)

2.Studying design drawings to establish generic design parameters like earth pressure coefficients, concrete crack widths, bearing pressures, strengths of steel, concrete and presenting them in shop drawings, structural design calculations, material submittals etc.( Checking materials like ductile iron covers, waterproofing systems, expansions joints etc)

3.Preparing construction shop drawings for site engineers with location coordinates, levels, dimensions, reinforcements and construction method statements.(Using Civil 3d and Auto CAD)

4.Calculating cost estimates and quantity take offs of concrete, reinforcement steel, structural steel for chambers, foundations and truss frames by tabulating weights in spreadsheets and getting price quotations from procurement department.

5.Defining construction methods of underground chambers to be either pre-cast or cast-in-situ based on size, weight and transportability of structural parts and continuity of waterproofing membrane and coats.

6.Coordination of location, levels, size and room dimensions of electrical substations with architectural drawings, landscaping drawings, and mechanical utilities drawings etc.

2.Structural design optimization by static and dynamic analysis of underground stations, underpasses, pedestrian bridges, access structures, switch boxes by manual recalculation of design drawings against bending, shear, torsion and deflection.

3.Issue structural shop drawings, bar bending schedules, method statements and construction sequence after approval from design verification engineer (DVE) for overhead track exhaust frames, station piles, kingposts, diaphragm walls, anchors, roof slabs, platform slabs, base slabs, lining walls, internal walls etc.

4.Determine physical aspects of underground metro like alignment of tunnel, spatial arrangement of concourse floor, platform floor, screen doors, ticketing booths and traffic diversions affecting external accessibility based on expected population growth in next 120 years and architectural drawings.

6.Formulating material submittal document of various materials like concrete, steel, waterproofing, steel fire protection, cathodic protection, finishing materials, glazing materials, insulating materials based on fire safety studies, durability studies, compression lab tests, elongation tests etc.

6.Coordinate with clients by participating in workshops to solve complex structural design problems and establishing a standardized solution with stated implications to project costs and completion times.
