Utilization of Blast Furnace (BF) and LD Slag in Geotechnical Applications- A case study of Waste Management through Circular Economy— Master’s Thesis

The major solid waste generated from the Steel Plants is slag and it has been found that the utilization of LD slag is very less as compared to BF slag

(problem addressed by the Steel Ministry of India in 2019). So, my project focuses on analysing the geotechnical and mineralogical properties of both slags and comparing their results to identify the problem. The leaching potential of slag is also determined to predict any hazardousness towards environment by its re-use.

Characterisation of sewage and design of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) for KNIT Sultanpur campus — B.Tech Project An STP is quite necessary to receive the domestic and commercial waste and produce an Environmental-friendly effluent for disposal or re-use. The sampling of domestic wastes was done from the hostels, residential units and departments and different water parameters were analysed based on which the STP was designed.
