I currently work as an independent audiology consultant providing services to practitioners, universities and device manufacturers. I offer clinical and technical support together with input to research and development teams for manufacturers from within the under-represented region of south-east Asia. This is a diverse role encompassing project management, training as well as clinical and technical support. This is an extremely rewarding challenge involving gaining knowledge of all customer bases that I work with, as well as growing expertise on equipment, audiological practice and research. My expertise encompasses technical measurement, complex assessment and service delivery.
Prior to this, I have held roles with similar responsibilities in southern and south-east Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Through my career, aside from clinical practice, I have also undertaken roles within product management, product development and marketing as well as technical sales support and direct channel sales management.
Aside from work, I have previously served as treasury director and secretary for the British Academy of Audiology. This role gave me diverse experience in people and event management and co-ordination. I have a keen eye for detail and enjoy the challenge of event co-ordination, regularly taking the lead at trade fairs and conferences. I have co-authored and contributed to international standards and recommended practice guidelines and have also managed small teams.
