NETWORK DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE

PROHEALTH PHYSICIANS/OPTUM CARE, Farmington, CT 2017 - 2020 Manager, Network Contracting; (2019 – 2020)

Responsible for identifying and developing a network of providers according to CMS adequacy guidelines. Negotiate contracts and manage a value based IPA provider network participating in Anthem, ConnectiCare and United Healthcare Medicare Advantage plans. Oversee the Network Contracting business unit and manage a team of liaisons managing provider rosters and contract amendments to ensure service agreements are updated and current. Lead quarterly JOCs (Joint Operating Committee) meetings with key provider groups. Oversaw provider Site Surveys to ensure practices operate within set standards. Maintained SNF/HHA data and disseminated to clinical staff. Managed PMPM Capitation/Care Coordination monthly payments. Actively and routinely work to build and maintain ProHealth Physicians’ referral network to mirror the IPA network. A PAL volunteer (Peer Assimilation Leader) within the organization. Responsible for developing, maintaining and servicing high quality healthcare providers within assigned territory. Initiated contract negotiations with provider groups to join the IPA. Additional responsibilities included onboarding, training and servicing assigned provider groups. Engaged in value based risk adjustment utilizing Care Manager, Argon and quality initiatives (STARS) utilizing Cozeva to improve overall patient outcomes and lower costs. Attended and participated in broker conventions as well as CME/HCC seminars attended by network providers. Developed strong working relationships with provider community and their staff.

• Successfully launched marketing campaigns and grew market share for a number of pharmaceutical products and disease states for which I underwent rigorous training. This included cardiovascular, IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), asthma & allergy and schizophrenia as well as herpes and osteoporosis.
