PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Training Management and Staff Development:

Trained and prepared battle staff and oversaw training of over 10 battalions in all aspects of mission command, battle/incident tracking and military planning during unit rotations while a staff O/C at the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC). Resulted in successful combat deployments to Iraq or Afghanistan by each battalion.

Led United States Special Operations Command Battle Staff readiness training and effectively integrated leadership training requirements; resulted in increased strategic and operational command readiness.

Developed a four star level strategic capabilities training plan that increased in involvement and complexity over time, ultimately including multiple Combatant Commanders and the Joint Staff. Improved national strategic readiness in the Indian and Pacific Oceans Area of Responsibility.

Established and implemented a Logistics and Human Resources conference for the Nangarhar Province Police Force in Afghanistan that lead to an overall increase in readiness and efficiency. Operational Leadership:

Led the Operations Command Post for the US Army Africa Command during multiple real world contingency operations to include its response to the 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya. Craig J. Manville 2 of 2

Developed and led a scalable and deployable 96 person command post capable of synchronizing multi- service operations and functions – validated through multiple deployments for real world contingency operations on the African Continent.

Developed and implemented a weekly fusion meeting for the Nangarhar Province Police Force in Afghanistan, providing a shared intelligence picture that drove the operational planning for the province.

Drove the development of a pragmatic training strategy that was instrumental in the Nangarhar Provincial Police in Afghanistan to achieve “Independent” rating. Operations and Organizational Planning:

Planned, synchronized and coordinated brigade-level training and combat operations that were the crushing blow to a prominent Al-Qa’ida in Iraq cell in Baghdad.

Refined and approved all changes to the DoD Insider Threat Management Analysis Center (DITMAC) reporting thresholds to insure the USAFRICOM Insider Threat team maximized its capability and provided timely problem resolution.

Coordinated and synchronized complex multinational operations and exercises with the Spanish Joint and Army Staff and other national military headquarters during heightened European tensions.

Planned and synchronized 10 separate company level urban operation live fire exercises at the JRTC prior to combat deployment; successfully integrating all war fighting functions into the collective training.
