GT Controls AXA XL

Global Technology (GT) Controls team is responsible for Test, Release and Change Management process governance and implementation of the industry best practices enterprise wide. Field IT started with very few IT developers setting up utility applications for the FAST (customer tech support) team in Everett, WA. Applications grew up in stature as these apps provided easy in performing customer service activities. Provisioning and API applications were primarily taken care by the Field IT team. The Loss is reported to Customer Service, the CSR uses one of the Claims Initiation applications to enter the Notice of Loss (NOL). BI Apps in Sprint Nextel wireless area included: Executive Management Information System(EMIS-ERS), Executive reporting system (XRS), Affiliates reporting system (XOS), BI Apps consolidated Data Mart and reporting system (DFS), XZS and XNS

Sprint PCS (Sprint Personal Cellular System) had some legacy Business Intelligence Applications. These applications were broadly distinguished as per the kind of data that was processed by that particular application. e.g EMIS-ERS was dealing with the Sprint PCS handset business data and its periodic reporting on the Web for Executive management of Sprint. This application was also responsible for maintaining the reference tables of most of the BI Applications. XRS was primarily responsible for all the revenue generated through billing of the Sprint PCS business, it had multiple modules pertaining to vendors and even the Tax calculations of Sprint. XOS was subsidiary application to XRS, it was particularly responsible for revenue calculations of the Affiliates of Sprint. DFS was the application responsible for loading of all the Data Marts with the data pulled from Convergys the BPO partner of Sprint.
