Image enhancement is the process of highlighting certain features of interest in an image. The principal objective of enhancement is to process an image so that the result is more suitable than the original image for a specific application. Enhancement is a subjective process. The following operations are performed: Histogram of an image, contrast enhancement, flip of an image, addition of noise, edge detection and dilation.
oMATLAB project on “A Steganography technique for hiding image using LSB method” using GUI.
oWe describe steganography, one of the most important technique, an art of hiding information by embedding it in some other data. Main objective is mainly concerned with the protection of contents of hidden information. Techniques for using image steganography is: LSB (Least significant bit), masking and filtering, algorithm and transformation.
ACADEMIC PROJECT
Active Contour Level Set Segmentation in Retinal Diseases.
Leakage Detection in Malarial and Diabetic Retinopathy,
oThe detection and assessment of leakage in retinal fluorescein angiogram images is important for the management of a wide range of retinal diseases. This thesis is concerned a new saliency- based method for detection of leakage in FA image. After saliency detection, we detect the leakage detected region inFA image. We have developed a framework that can automatically detectleakage. This framework comprises three steps: vessel segmentation, saliency feature generation and leakage detection. First super pixel segmentation done, divided images into meaningful patches at various levels. We have done super pixel segmentation based on two cues-namely; intensity and compactness. Saliency maps are finally fused based on intensity and compactness. Finally, leaking regions are detected using graph-cut segmentation. The proposed method validated on two retinal disease like malarial retinopathy and diabetic retinopathy. Leaking regions finally segmented using active contour level set segmentation. Finally, performance parameters like accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, AUC and DC were calculated for proposed method. ROC curve was plotted for malarial and diabetic retinopathy dataset. Finally, MR and DR are classified using SVM and prove that SVM outperforms the other method. This work is done in MATLAB 2017.
Intelligent Vehicle Accident Security Prevention System.
oWe describe a real time online safety prototype using embedded technology to provide to the vehicle driver. The purpose of such a model is to advance the system to defect fatigue symptoms in drivers and control the speed of vehicle to avoid accidents. The main components of the system consist of number of real time sensors, impact sensors, software interface with GPS, ARM microcontrollers, Keil C Compiler, GSM Modem, IR sensors, DC motor etc.
oApplication of an improved wavelet threshold denoising method in heart signal.
oWe describe an improved wavelet threshold denoising method in order to reduce noise in heart sound signal. the new method not only improve the discontinuity of hard wavelet threshold denoising method but also reduce constant bias of soft wavelet threshold denoising method. Here we are using wavelet transform, because it has good analysis of particular frequency band and time period, -good localization property in both time domain and frequency domain analysis.
