EXPERIENCE
Registered Nurse/Consultant, JDaniel Nursing. LLC – April 1, 2019 – Current
Started an independent LLC for contract services pertaining to Nursing.
Utilized services for:
- Assisting a core founding team in establishing a compliant Telemedicine based practice based out of Florida, called PeakPerforMAX – included setting up our HIPPA compliant MAR and telemedicine video platform, establishing accounts with board certified pharmacies and lab centers, and on-boarding medical personnel such as MDs, NPs, and PAs.
Continue to research state-specific telemedicine laws and guidelines to ensure standard of compliance.
Assist providers in placing medication orders for patients with accredited pharmacies.
Perform daily operational tasks, including patient billing, consult scheduling, patient follow up regarding plan of care, technical support for online EMR system, and communication with subcontracted advertisement agency and accountant personnel.
PACU RN/ Circulator, Ocean Springs Surgery and Endoscopy Center - January 15, 2018 – Current
Successfully maintained the safety of patients during the intraoperative period by monitoring vital signs, ensuring sterility is not broken by myself and other team members, assessing the room for any possible hazards such as lowered bed rails, and communicating effectively with the provider.
Trained nurses within the endoscopy unit to be able to perform the role of a circulating nurse during EGDs and colonoscopies. Responsibilities include assisting the physician in collecting specimens and labeling them appropriately for pathology, monitoring the patient for any signs of distress, delegating appropriate tasks to the Certified Scrub Techs, and assisting anesthesia with maintaining an effective airway.
Worked with a team of 4 RNs to develop an efficient system of communication between the clinical support team and physicians. The system allows information to be reported to the surgeon/doctor after the patient has completed the preoperative assessment, but before the intraoperative period. Plan is now implemented daily throughout the entire surgical center.
Registered Nurse, Memorial Hospital, Gulfport
February 20, 2016 – January 12, 2018
Worked closely with drug representatives to develop a type of algorithm used to determine what is needed to obtain medication assistance for qualifying patients. Informed other clinical nurses of this algorithm which has since been adopted by other cardiology clinics.
Became familiar and efficient with the process of obtaining prior authorization through patients’ insurance providers.
Developed an understanding for cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators by working with representatives. Performed more than 10 device interrogations under supervision of the cardiologist.
Worked with the clinical nursing supervisors to establish an in-office congestion heart failure clinic. Patients can receive diuretics and fluids per physicians’ orders with the goal being to prevent re-hospitalization.
Registered Nurse, Merit Health Hospital, Biloxi
June 2015 – February 2016
Accepted a job position as an RN on a Medical/Surgical unit that contained 36 patient beds.
Developed a good sense of time management while being assigned to and caring for six patients per shift.
Performed regular duty tasks, such as: obtaining vital signs, administering medications, performing wound care, assisting medical technicians with patient’s hygiene care, and working alongside physicians to carry out the patients’ plans of care.
