While at PBS/New Mexico, consultant for Southwest U.S. political online news programming for Channel News Asia’s live radio, video & audio streaming coverage of Super Tuesday 2008. Managed live, online Southwest U.S. coverage of presidential primaries for Pacific Rim’s largest online and on-air video network.

Recruited by a leading cable TV company to overhaul a seriously underperforming news/ sports division in which an employee was suspected of embezzlement. Turned around the troubled division 2 months ahead of the one-year deadline by increasing sales revenue 10%, significantly improving employee morale, and restructuring hackneyed news, sports and informational programming.

Selected by CEO and lead investor/venture capital executive to head up New York office of first-of-its kind B2B satellite TV/ online & radio news & information network. Successfully managed all facets of startup operations including sales development and management, corporate comm., personnel recruitment, product development, and client outreach. This effort generated a 25% savings in startup capital that contributed to the division achieving profitability 10 months ahead of schedule.

Successfully launched first live PBS Radio & TV web cast of Eastern New Mexico University’s men’s and women’s sporting events to assist with student recruitment and marketing of Eastern New Mexico University and Lone Star Conference athletics.

After first 8 months at IBS, received a promotion to company director for: 1) supervising completion of 250 hours of original news/ educational/instructional TV programming 3 months ahead of schedule and within budget and 2) simultaneously supervising staffing and build-out of the new New York City office and production facility.

Recruited to turn around underperforming PBS/ NPR television/ radio station group – but within first year, successfully unified PBS TV and 2 NPR FM stations to rebrand community presence and streamline budget, personnel and office build out; Recruited new staff of financial and marketing officers, underwriting staff, and production talent; Rolled out new marketing campaign with staff-produced TV, radio, print, and billboard promotions; Upgraded Internet site to increase reader interaction; Spearheaded grant development leading to staff-produced documentary; Forged partnership with Literacy Lubbock, to raise community awareness of literacy issues; Launched new weekly programs, produced in-house, which highlighted local businesses, Texas film industry, and the Texas Tech Univ. & community features.
