OBJECTIVE

Aspiring to render my engineering skills in the field of technology by enhancing my experience in different realms of techno-functional abilities, with continuous growth and improvement. SKILLS

Domain : Finite Element Analysis

Tools Pre-Processing : Hypermesh, Abaqus and Ansys-Spaceclaim .

& Solver

Tools Post-Processing : Abaqus, Optistruct, Ansys Workbench, HyperView, and MS Office for Reporting.

EXPERIENCE AND PROJECTS HANDLED

L&T Technology Services, Bengaluru - FEA Engineer

September 2018 – October 2020(2 Years 2 months)

Project Name: Zebra Mobile Scanner Assembly Analysis Objectives: To assess the strength of the connector of PCB assembly used in Mobile Scanner. Description: The mobile scanner generally used in the supermarkets tend to be dropped accidently frequently and there was an issue when it was dropped the scanner was unable to switch on. So, it becomes necessary to test drop the scanner and when performed we noticed there was a dysconnectivity of the PCB assembly with the connector as the connector was under the strain with the PCB male connector. Hypermesh is used for Meshing and Abaqus tool was used as the solver and HyperView as the postprocessing medium.

Project Name: SPG Printer Drop Evaluation

Objective: To assess the Structural strength of the assembly and also the check the stiffness of the Belt in the Printer Assembly.

Description: Performed Drop analysis of the printer assembly to check the stability of the belt present in the assembly where it holds the paper roller part. When the printer is dropped the belt should hold the roller of the paper assembly and the components in the vicinity in the respective locations without any component coming out of place. Also to check the structural strength of the outer housing of the printer. Hypermesh was used for Tet and Hex Solid Meshing, Abaqus as a solver and HyperView and MS office for Postprocessing and report generation.

Project Name: Velux Dome Fixation

Objective: Static Structural analysis on the assembly to evaluate Failure load (considering metal insert breaking/cracking as the criteria) under Tension and Torsion load cases. Description: The assembly was given to us for testing the failure load a joint which connects the rotating assembly. It was a sub assembly in a vehicle steering assembly. The dome was in Tension and Torsion and to get the good understanding we analyzed the assembly for different load cases of tension and torsion independently. Ansys Workbench was used as a Preprocessor, Solver and Postprocessor to calculate the failure criteria for the material considered.

Project Name: Aristocrat Technologies

Objective: Static and Explicit analysis on the Gaming rig to evaluate the cracking behaviour of the glass and to check the structural strength of the glass under Abuse Load. Description: Performed Ball Drop analysis on the various positions on the glass top of the Assembly to evaluate the cracking behavior of the glass on the gaming rig(generally available in the malls or Gaming stations where shooting and racing or dif types of games played) and also to check the structural strength of the assembly. Hypermesh is used as a preprocessor for Hex, Shell and Tet mesh, LS Dyna, Abaqus and Optistruct used as a solver and Hyperview as a postprocessor. Project Name: Blast Load Analysis

Objective: To assess the structural strength of the box assembly which is placed near the vicinity of the blast prone zone

Description: The box assembly which was used to store the war essential requisites which was in the blast prone zone need to be tested wheather the box can withhold the blast wave which can basically harm to the extreme or sometimes kill a human. To achieve the simulation we considered the pressure to be applied to the box in all directions of 5 bar magnitude which is similar to the pressure the blast wave. Spaceclaim was used for Geometric defeaturing and Ansys Workbench was used as a solver. Tasks Performed for the Projects:

• Started the projects from scratch by analysing the geometry and simplifying the model by necessary geometric defeaturing.

• Pre-processed the model using Hypermesh and necessary quality criteria’s for mesh control is met.

• Contacts and Boundary conditions are defined in Hypermesh or Ansys.

• The model is solved either Abaqus, Optisrtuct or Ansys as a solver.

• Reviewed the results and necessary actions were taken if failures observed.

• Tabulated all the stresses and Deformation data and plots using MS Office and Power Bi software for better understating of the Stress Strain graphs and values. EDUCATION

BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru- B.E

August 2014 - May 2018
