BACKGROUND

Throughout residency I have been called a gentle and compassionate physician. I listen to my patients intently and form a professional and warm bond. I try to place myself in my patients' shoes, meeting and encouraging them from where they are. Together, we can create a plan to achieve shared health goals for the betterment of both their acute and chronic conditions. I also strive to be a role model for my patients in how I care for myself. Residency has given me the opportunity to take on leadership positions involving teaching and quality improvement projects. It has provided me the experience to care for individuals with complex medical and socio-economic backgrounds. I now possess skills that help address equity, diversity, inclusivity, and ethnic sensitivity within clinical practice. I am looking forward to practicing in an outpatient care setting where I can continue to give back to a diverse population.
