Coke Dry Quenching (CDQ) is an alternative to the traditional wet quenching of the coke. Coke is cooled using an inert gas in dry cooling plant, instead of cooling by sprayed water which results in high CO2 emissions and thermal energy loss. This process allows the recovery of the thermal energy in the quenching gas which can then be used for the production of steam and Electricity. CDQ also improves the quality of coke and enables reduced coke consumption in the blast furnace. As the product quality is improved, CDQ may also allow for the use of lower cost Non-coking coal in the process, thereby reducing costs.

JOBS RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working in a shift.
Normal operation of Boiler.
Turbine capacity 1x76 MW (Make BHEL)
Handling Emergency condition like as Blackout, Blower trip, Turbine trip and Module fail etc.
Operation of existing 4x72 TPH CDQ Waste Heat Recovery Boiler (Make Hangzhou Boiler Group Ltd), Rated Pressure and Temperature-:95+-5kg/cm2 & 540+-5degree centigrade.
Type of Boiler-: Single Drum, Natural circulation, Water tube.
Heating surface -:3843m2.
De-pressurizing during normal shutdown & pressurizing during Light up& normalization.
Trial run operation of pumps& compressor.
Cold and hot startup of Boiler.
Maintain Boiler Chemical Report.
Responsible for making daily generation & other reports.

Leak test & Hydro test of the Boiler.
