Qualified Motor Mechanic Williams Hunt Randburg

●Diagnostics & PDI inspections.

●Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.

●Inspecting vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.

●Conducting routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.

●Performs repairs and maintenance procedures; diagnose, test, adjust, and repair mechanical systems of gas, diesel and hybrid vehicles.

●Maintains, tests and repairs petrol engines and the mechanical parts of lightweight motor vehicles such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes.

●Raises vehicle, using hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle.

●Removes unit, such as engine, transmission, or differential, using wrenches and hoist.

●Disassembles unit and inspects parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and thickness gauges.

●Repairs or replaces parts, such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings, using mechanic's hand tools.

●Overhauls or replaces carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters, and pumps.

●Rebuilds parts, such as crankshafts and cylinder blocks, using lathes, shapers, drill presses, and welding equipment.

●Rewires ignition system, lights, and instrument panel.

●Relines and adjusts brakes, aligns front end, repairs or replaces shock absorbers, and solders leaks in radiator.

●Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories, such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.

●Repairs and maintains diesel engines used to power machines, maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records.
