Responsibilities & Duties

Safety : Maintain a safe work environment and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Ensure that Plant life Safety systems and equipment are up to code and that personnel meets the minimum safety training requirements.

Training : Provide guidance and direction to the workforce to insure that to know when and how to use tools and equipment to perform the job in an efficient, effective and safe manner and the opportunity to continually improve their skills.

Supervision : Provide day to day supervision of the operation of AHP (employees and contract labours ) to insure the safe and reliable delivery of utilities for require facilities and other properties.

• Receive and reply to calls from BTG control room and field engineer & report to shift incharge

• Monitors all alarms in the area and required tests on aux temperature and some oil levels and various testing of Silo’s aux and levels by technicians

• Controlled and supervised Fly & Bottom Ash Silo’s, Grinder and auxiliaries equipments in AHP

• Starts stops and operates all AHP aux ( Root blower, Compressor, vent fan, etc )

• Change over equipments ( per rotation to standardize operating time )

• Documents shift events and conditions in daily log books, records data hourly on all equipment readings and reports any unusual conditions to the shift incharge

• Evaluated equipment condition & through regular inspection and review of logs on all operating and non operating systems, maintained updated temperature records and supervised ash conveyance and lubricate equipment in the AHP

• Reviewed Plant operational related equipment problems that result in poor performance, reduced availability, loss of efficiency and implemented solutions to the problem area, contact personnel and department to resolve issue

• Analyze identify and take appropriate actions to correct unsatisfactory system and to improve Plant condition and performance

• Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment. Adheres to all safety policies, procedures and practices, including the wearing of protective clothing and gear

• Assist Man powers to routine & specific area house keeping in AHP

• Be “on call” as a regular scheduled basis during weekends and Off-hours to respond to Plant contingencies.
