Currently deputed in a mixed-use development project and has been handling the following works

(i) Handling monthly client invoicing,

(ii) Procurement (requisitions till issuance of order and closing) for both sub-contractors and materials that includes provisional sums and PC rate items,

(iii) Major material and sub-contractor’s work reconciliation,

(iv) Sub-contractor’s payment,

(v) Variations,

(vi) Contractual letters including claims,

(vii) Day works claim,

(viii) Identifying additional scope and claims.

Attending client meetings, sub-contractor’s coordination meetings.

Tendering & Estimation Works (Pre- tender)

Listing out the specialized items in a tender, floating enquiry for the specialized items, following up with the vendors for offer, negotiation and subsequently getting the revised discounted offer, making comparative statements for Management’s approval and Client’s approval as well.

Quantities take off for EPC projects / Hotel projects / Hospital projects etc.

Preparation of tender queries and discussing the same with consultants and clients.

Complete estimation of a tender, direct and indirect cost (Fixed and variable cost). Project Site Works (Post tender)

Verifying BOQ as per Contract, layouts and scope of work.

Quantity surveying for structure (sub and superstructure), UG services, finishing, external works, and variation items (additions & omissions).

Keeping track of scope of work, design changes, pre- qualifications of sub-contractors.

Attending change order meetings with cost consultants and discussion on submitted variations.

Preparing estimation and costing of new items.

Preparation of monthly bills, submission and discussion, following through till receipt of payment certificate. Packages enquiry preparation, floating it to pre-qualified and registered sub-contractor. Following up and ensuring receipt of proposal for different packages on time. Preparing comparative statement, having preliminary negotiation, sending it to management and client (in case of client appointed sub-contractors) for approval.

(III) ZUARI INFRAWORLD INDIA LIMITED, ADVENTZ GROUP, Bangalore, India REAL ESTATE – BUILDING CONSTRUCTION (HIGH RISE), VILLAS Procurement and supply chain

Meeting architects/ consultants/ contractors/ manufacturers/ suppliers, understanding the jobs/ products they deal with, sending assessment form.

Evaluation of contractors/ manufacturers/ suppliers based on the details provided in the assessment form, Company profile and other documents. Empanelling and registering contractors/ manufacturers/ suppliers in Company’s database, thereby categorizing them for different types of works related to construction.

Proposing approved contractors/ manufacturers/ suppliers for all types of general and specialized work or product to the Management committee/stakeholders.

Taking care of supply of raw materials (Cement/Steel/Aggregates/Block/Brick) and services for Civil (Core

& shell/finishing/Infrastructure/special work) along with MEP services including IBMS & CCTV, FF & FAS, HVAC, and Elevator/Escalator, WTP/STP/Rain water harvesting system.

Receiving indent/Work requisition from Site technical team, checking the documents for any discrepancy, preparing check list and sending the same to the site team.

Preparing NIT/RFQ after getting all due approvals from concerned authority.

Issuing NIT/RFQ to approved contractors for Project works.

Coordinating with Site technical team for pre-bid queries’ reply, if any.

Receiving bids, opening bids, making Quotation comparative statements, discussing payment terms.

Item by item comparison of offers received from parties, understanding if there is any absurdity in the quoted price compared to the estimate.

Coordinating with the contractors for techno commercial negotiation meetings, attending the same. Discussing with Management committee/stakeholders regarding all technical and commercial issues to finalize suitable contractor for the said job.

Awarding the contract to the successful bidder, issuing LOI/WO.

Preparing ERP as well as manual WO/PO.

Handing over the contract documents to Site technical team, Finance Dept.

Arranging kick-off meetings with contractors in coordination with the execution team.

Scheduling the total procurement activities in line with the master project schedule, agreed mutually between contractor and execution team.

Following through for any contractual issue or deviation during execution works.

Final evaluation of contractor/supplier based on the reviews received from execution team.

Delisting of unworthy contractors/manufacturers/suppliers based on their performance.

(IV) SHAPOORJI PALLONJI & COMPANY LIMITED, Hyderabad, India. CONSTRUCTION – BUILDING (HIGH RISE), COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL, OIL & GAS, POWER PROJECTS

I was part of Tendering & estimation department which ideally brings business for SPCL in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Preparing list of documents, technical and commercial pre- bid queries, listing out all the critical clauses and contract conditions, maintaining Client correspondence.

Attending Client pre-bid meetings for various tenders.

Actively involved in negotiation with vendors for different projects along with Commercial department during actual awarding of jobs.
