JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

•To follow QCP and ITP during surveillance and inspection

•Conduct the tool box meeting to welders regarding welding activites

•Weld inspections surveillance checks before, during and after welding

•To do raw material inspection, verification of material specification and test certificates according to international standards (ASME Section II a/c)

•Monitoring of welding Consumable and controls of electrodes storage and review TC’s of welding consumables

•In process welding such as travel speed, voltage, current, polarity, welding technique and interpass temperature

•Review the WPS and witness the welders through welder qualification test and monitoring all parameters as per WPS

•Fit up inspections and pre-welding inspections as per WPS and checklists and perform weld visual inspection

•Involving of welding of C.S, LTCS, Alloy, S.S and Inconel materials (like GTAW, SMAW, SAW, GMAW)

•Witnessing of NDT inspections (PT, RT, UT, VT & MPT)

•Monitoring PWHT operations, review charts and reports

•Maintaining all inspection records

•Coordinate with QA/QC, third party agencies and clients for inspection

•Review isometric drawing,P&ID,Prepare weld map based on piping class for traceability.

•Raising request for inspection to client/third party as per requirement.

•Preparing welder weekly/monthly performance records,project repair rate and conduct repair reduction and welder performance improvement programs.

•Conduct welding equipment validation and review records for pressure gauges,and relief valves,backing oven and inspection instruments.
