KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Being a Head Instrumentation of 40KTPA Maleic Anhydride plant with a team of supervisors and technicians for the effective functioning of the department.

Identification of functional training needs for the department personnel, scheduling, training and evaluation through skill matrix.

Overall monitoring and control of computerized maintenance management system for the effective implementation of preventive predictive and shutdown maintenance.

Maintaining ideal inventory for the department through proper material management, variety reduction and standardization.

Identification and elimination of non-value adding activities

Identification of key short term challenges and addressing them with teams.

Being a member of energy cell, implementing energy conservation projects across the company.

Maintenance costing and budgeting. Monitoring expenses on daily basis and taking necessary actions to maintain it well within the limit.

Selection of good vendors/suppliers and contractors to get quality material and work in time.

Failure statistics and root cause analysis of equipment failures and initiating corrective and preventive actions to reduce the rate.

Reviewing PM schedule to increase the MTBF and to reduce MTTR

Proactively initiate predictive checks or modifications or retrofits or migration to improve reliability to unprecedented levels. Achieved zero breakdown for twelve consecutive months and being sustained.

Liaising with statutory bodies like Agensi Nuclear Malaysia, Atomic Energy Licensing Board

(AELB) and Metrology Corporation etc. for statutory compliance.

Review and consolidation of documents and records for ISO9001, ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001.

Being a Certified Internal auditor for ISO9001, ISO14001 and OSHAS18001, conduct internal audits for system effectiveness.

Execution of shop floor meeting to promote innovative ideas and positive work culture.

Organizing internal customer meets to reach out departmental goals

Design and development of custom instruments and duplication of electronic cards for imported instruments as a cost effective measure.
