As Maintenance Control Supervisor, I have all the training in avionics and mechanical, as well as the hands-on experience from all A/P, avionics, communication, radar, functional checks, test box, and BITE troubleshooting procedures. Basic Function:
Oversee the daily operations of the Maintenance Control Department, and provided direct supervision of Maintenance Control personnel. Ensured that all daily Maintenance Control activities were conducted in strict compliance with the National Airlines General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
Responsibilities:
1. Continuously maintain managing control of daily operations, aircraft status, ongoing maintenance, and all other information relevant to the continued safe operation of the company fleet.
2. Coordinate any needed maintenance, e.g. open items, DMIs, COIs, and other necessary assignments, with the maintenance station supervisors and flight maintenance engineers.
3. Review completed log pages received from line operations. Audit the log pages for quality and completion.
4. Audit all prepared documents to ensure compliance with National Airlines GMM.
5. Provide coordination with other departments within the Operations Control Center (OCC) during irregular operations.
6. Provide a detailed turnover to the oncoming Maintenance Control Supervisor to ensure cohesion between shifts.
7. Perform a review of the most current open DMI report during the duty day for quality control purposes, and coordinate any required changes with other departments with the OCC. Ensure that accurate information regarding open DMI/CDL items and flight restrictions is made available to flight operations at the point of aircraft dispatch.
8. Ensure that the minimum Equipment List (MEL), Deferred Maintenance Item (DMI/CDL/COI) process is carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures detailed in the National Airlines GMM.
9. Coordinate with Stores personnel for the ordering and shipment of parts and materials to maintenance stations.
10. Provide reports of mechanical difficulties to maintenance management.

In the environmental classification, I maintained the buildings that house radar com navigation, facilities, HVAC and A/C systems, backup electrical power, generators, building maintenance, backup battery maintenance, facilities and grounds maintenance, electrical preventative maintenance on all generator-powered diesel and gas external combustion engines, runway and taxi lights, as well as maintained all the equipment we used.
