Numerical modelling on stress distribution around the mine opening-shaft This study is to analyze normal stress and deformation on the surface as clay and concrete. By taking path horizontal, vertical and diagonal with different diameter says 4m, 6m, 8m openings. The study shows normal stress and deformation for concrete layer shows a minor difference as shaft diameter increase for concrete as surface. It is also clear that clay as surface Shows maximum variation of stresses of which stress increases proportion with diameter decreases.
