Project Manager, Language Access
The Quality and Patient Experience (QPE) department
Mass General Brigham
Dear Sir/Madam,
Re: Application for the position of Translation Specialist
In a recent job search on Linkedin, I am aware of the above position and consider myself a suitable candidate.
Upon graduating with a Master Degree in Translation in 2003, I began working in legal and business translation field for about 15 years. As I gained more experience, I began to manage translation projects. Currently, I am a qualified medical interpreter/translator of the Interpreter Services Department at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Translating vital documents is the job of the Chinese team because Chinese-speaking patients are one of the top languages in the patient population.
It is good to know that Mass General Brigham highly value patient experience, clinical outcome, and equity. Language access including both spoken and written components would certainly serve better the limited-English proficiency patients.
I hope my bilingual specialty and relevant working experiences will be of great value to your effort in helping the underprivileged communities.
Yours truly,
Eunice Woo
